Parks & Nature

Helsinki's "central park" is right next to my apartment, just cross the bridge that you can see from the kitchen's window on the right and you're there. There are plenty of routes in the forest like park to have a walk or run.

R-kioski (the kind of a Finnish version of 7-Eleven) where you can pick up the key to my place if I'm not around myself to deliver it. You can also buy the cards and tickets for the public transportation from any "Ärrä".

Getting Around

If you arrive in Helsinki by air, you can take train I to the Huopalahti station from the airport, and walk about 800 meters to my apartment. The travel from airport to the apartment should take about 45 min in total. The regional ticket costs 5€ and you can buy the tickets from machines at the airport (they don't sell them on train, and the fine traveling without the ticket is 80€). You can also catch trains to the city center or to Espoo direction from the Huopalahti station. Travel to city center by train takes about 20-25 min from the apartment. You can check the routes for the public transportation in Helsinki and the capital area from www.reittiopas.fi.

The nearest bus stop (Laajasuontie) is just about 30 meters from my door. There you can take bus 63 and it will take about 20 minutes to get to the city center. Busses run from early morning (starting before 6am until about midnight).
