If you are willing to commute there is an amazing and affordable bring your own wine Italian restaurant in the eastern part of the city. Its a casual family run establishment with a lot of turn around so expect it to be busy.

Amazingly unusual Japanese cuisine. Everything I ate there blew me away. One downside is that it always has a line up before dinner service. I recommend, if you go, that you arrive ten minutes before it opens.
