We usually purchase the take out box for 2 which includes cod, scrod, catfish, onion rings, slaw, and 2 hush puppies. King Fish gives nice portion sizes. We add 3 additional hush puppies and have plenty food for 4 people. This restaurant has a nice view of the river and is usually not crowded.

Plehn's is the oldest bakery in Louisville. My favorite treat is almond macaroons; my husband loves the huge cream horns.

Since there are so many museums on Main Street, this section of Main Street is often called Museum Row. My son's favorite museum is the Arms History Museum. If you have younger children, then the Science Museum will be a big hit. You must see the huge bat at the Louisville Slugger Museum.

Notice the architecture of the home as you walk along 4th Street and St. James Court. Changes to the outside of these homes (windows, paint, etc.) must be approved. There is one Victorian home on St. James Court that stands out because it is pink.

The offices for the Transit Authority of River City are located in the historic L&N Union Station (1891). Tarc restored Union Station in the mid 80 with a cost of approximately $2 million. My mother, who was a passenger on trains that passed through Louisville, is very impressed with the restoration of Union Station. I probably would not have visited TARC if she had not expressed an interest, but I must agree with Mom. Union Station is very impressive.
