Subways are the fastest way to get around
I strongly recommend to use the subway for moving around the city, you should be able to get nearly anywhere with it fast and cheap.

I do not recommend taking local cabs.
Even tho probably most of the cab drivers are honest, there are some which they are not and on top of that have cars in bad conditions. You can try any of the ride sharing apps (Uber, Bolt, Yango) if you want to use a cab.

Use the subway, students have discounts on museums.
Use the subway, students have discounts on museums so have you university card with you. Also try not to eat in city center, there are great restaurants at the margin of it with better prices and quality.
