Bridal Veil Power Station
5393 E Hwy 145 SpurThis is up Fall Creek Road, which is just East of the house. Go up Fall Creek Road for about 15-20 minutes, staying to the right at the fork in the road. Woods Lake has pit potties and trails that go around the lake. Great views of Mount Wilson.

Lizard Head Pass
Also known as Downvalley Park, and County Park. This park is incredible and is only a 5 minute walk from the house. It has a pond, the river, trails, soccer and baseball fields, playground equipment, picnic tables, fishing, and clean heated bathrooms with running water.
Placerville Park

Picks up at M & M Mercantile in Placerville and will take you to either Durango or Grand Junction via Montrose. Cheap way to get to and from the area if it fits your schedule. Departs Placerville at 10:18 daily, arriving at Montrose Travel Station (a Shell Gas Station 1 mile south of the Airport) at 11:17. Departs Montrose at 2:56 daily, arriving at M & M Mercantile in Placerville at 4:26. M & M Mercantile is approximately 2 miles from the Ski Cabin. Very inexpensive, like $8 to Montrose. (check schedule online or call them at 970 563 4545 for current schedule. As of 1/16/17, it is not running on Mondays or Tuesdays anymore.) Uber and Angel's Taxi are also now in Telluride.
