Great starting point

If you prefer to drive to the beach - recommend parking by the Sicamous as it is a bit quieter on that end. Check out the museum within the boat or the rose garden beside it. If you are looking to walk about, you will enjoy either direction you choose. You can walk along the lively beach strip or along the quiet channel.

City/town information

What's not to like?! Situated between two gorgeous lakes with sandy beaches, Penticton has something for everyone. Small enough so there is limited traffic and a calm, laid-back, friendly vibe, and big enough so you are never bored!

At the end of Wiltse Boulevard you can park and gain access to kilometres of trails for hiking and biking. Breath taking views most of the way (until you venture further in of course). Wide variety of routes so you can spend as little or as long as you would like and are prepared to spend in this beautiful area. Biking trails are marked (please see Trailforks link below). LOCATION: Drive up Wiltse Blvd and park at the gravel lot by the 'Caution, Active Mine' fencing. https://www.trailforks.com/region/wiltse/

There are several access and potential starting points for your scenic bike ride. https://kettlevalleyrailtrail.com/resources/cycling-the-kvr/#:~:text=5%20km%3A%20Lakeshore%20Drive%20to,Penticton%2C%20near%20the%20SS%20Sicamous. This site provides a great deal of information about the different routes you can take, the history of the KVR, and offers the option to book a cycling tour. Our favourite starting points are: Parking on Vancouver Avenue by the Bench Market: https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+Bench+Market/@49.5029299,-119.5890025,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x5482627cb66ae925:0x7ab308b6ad9fba2a!8m2!3d49.5029299!4d-119.5868138 From here you can unload and start you ride to and through Naramata. Beautiful views of Okanagan lake. Ride up to wineries, cideries, stop for lunch, or get some locally made cheese. Enjoy! Parking at Skaha Lake. Bike over to Wright’s Beach Camp RV Campground on Highway 97 at the south entrance to Penticton and start your ride. It’s not clear where the trail and campground begin and end but the vehicle-wide gravel trail follows the edge of Skaha Lake through Kaleden to Okanagan Falls. We love this ride because you come across so many small, private little beaches where you can pull over, take a swim, have lunch, or just hang out. If you make it all the way to Okanagan Falls you can even get some ice cream to reward yourself for your efforts- from the famous Tickleberrys! https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tickleberry's/@49.3409695,-119.5714208,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xdf1851f0df467ef!8m2!3d49.3409695!4d-119.5714208
