Great pub newly refurbished a few mins walk from the cottage. The food is excellent and we would highly recommend their sunday roast which we think is the best we have had anywhere - enormous portions!

Good italian which is a favourite of ours not only because they do a good pizza but it also happens to be 2 minutes walk from the cottage! Also do takeaway which they turn around in about 15 mins

On the finer dining side. We eat here every now and again when we are after more of a treat. Many people describe this as the best restaurant in Cheddar. You will want to book to make sure you get a seat as it is not particularly large. Also happens to be a 2 minute stroll back to the cottage!

If you just want a quick takeaway then we love this place. Big fan of their Crispy Chill Beef! Would definitely vote for this place above the other chinese takeaway in Cheddar

Offering incredible views across Somerset and towards Dorset, Wiltshire and Wales, Glastonbury Tor is a brilliant free day out with the kids. The site is a place of pagan celebration with links to King Arthur and has a very peaceful atmosphere perfect for spending a day out in the Somerset countryside. Climb to the top of the tor to see the incredible views at 158 metres above sea level, as well as the remains of the 15th-century church of St Michael, mostly demolished in the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
