Rapid Creek is a perfect neighbourhood for walking in the mornings and evenings. Take a barefoot walk on the beach, or faster pace along the path. Swimming is not regarded as safe in any season, but especially not in the months from September until April when box jellyfish are found in the water.

Buses are close
The bus stops in both directions on Ryland Road are only five minutes away. The stop on the left side of Ryland Road (closest to the apartment) goes towards Casuarina Shopping Square, or cross the road to go into the CBD via Fannie Bay.

Take a water bottle, although there are drinking fountains along the bike path. All water is good to drink!

Swimming at the beach is never regarded as safe due to seasonal marine stingers and potential crocodile risk. Nightcliff Pool is a moderate walk and a safe and delightful way to cool down or swim laps.
