Beautiful place for a drink and a bar snack. Alternatively the Squires restaurant is top class cuisine. The bar serves the similar menu as the Squires restaurant if you want a slightly cheaper alternative. The spa adjoining the hotel is excellent, horses pass as you sit in the dining area with views from the outside jacuzzi into the stable yards.

Visit our museum. Great shop on site with loads of second hand books . If you love art and horses this is the place to go. Alternatively get away from the high street and have a coffee / cake at the bakery and still enjoy the surroundings without museum entrance fees . Along this quiet cobbled street is Nell Gwynn’s house.

We are only 12 ish miles from Cambridge. A must visit for punting and college sight seeing. Personally we like to walk from the Green dragon pub In Chesterton ( parking free) and enjoy a quieter scenic walk over the bridge and along the river into the centre. There is an independent coffee shop next to the steam museum, plenty of seating and river views. Next door is a community run craft brewery.

Ely is a lovely place to visit, much quieter than Cambridge but still has beautiful river walks and a stunning Cathedral that boasts a Peregrine nest in its spires ! Peacocks tea room by the river is a super place to eat. No booking just turn up. Very quintessentially British! For a special event try The old fire Station - booking essential.
