Moelwyn Mawr is the highest peak surrounding Blaenau Ffestiniog and is an incredible walk through time to it's summit.
You will pass through spectacular quarries and vistas as you make your way up through Cwmorthin (our local treasure) and Rhosydd, both impressive abandoned mining settlements.
Be equipped for a full day on the Mountain.

Cwmorthin Lake is a local treasure and perfect for a short walk from the front door.
In its boom Cwmorthin was a valley that housed up to 200 families and workers. The now abandoned settlements echo of a Slate industry that no longer exists here.
