Hot springs
This is a hot springs - you have the option of swimming and soaking in the main large outdoor pool with great views of the dunes and mountains, or going into the adult only green house area with several hot tubs of varying temperatures to chose from. They have a restaurant with a verity of options in the main pool area, then a bar and smaller menu in the green house. We recommend going in the morning or evening when it's cool - as all the water is hot.

Hiking
Great hike near the dunes. It's a mile round trip. You can also take a right fork in the trail and go up to old mining buildings, a beautiful lake, and eventually Ellingwood point - one of Colorado's 14ers (make sure to do a lot of research and prep before attempting one of Colorado's 14ers)

Lake Como roads leads up to a lake - its a VERY rough road so we would suggest just hiking it. It also leads to 2 of Colorado's 14ers - Little Bear and Balanca Peaks.

The main attraction - The Great Sand Dunes national park. Beautiful views - and some great hikes. Mosca pass trail is a great longer hike, but hiking around the dunes is great too...

Food and drink
This place is awesome. They grow their own ingredients for their beer - and all that we have tried are excellent! It's not where you would expect to find a brewery as it is in the middle of fields with 360 views of the mountains! Highly recommend.

We love this place. Only go here if you would like a filet mignon, baked potatoes, bread with the option for drinks and cheese cake. OR swap prime rib for filet mignon on Friday and Saturday nights - all other nights are filets. They do have mac and cheese for kids. Very reasonable prices for a steak place. Oh, and you also get a wedge salad with your meal.
