Xaghra is one of the larger villages in Gozo, where one can enjoy quite a few amenities, historical places and restaurants.
Small shops are close by for any daily needs and pharmacies too.
The beautiful church at the village core is also surrounded by multiple restaurants, we particularly like Coronations restaurant for a light snack with local delicious bread.
For any history buffs, the oldest recorded Ggantija megalithic temples dating back to 3600-3200 BC are located in Xaghra.
In the same road as the apartment, one can also find Xerri's Grotto, where various calcified formations, including stalactites and stalagmites, some of which resemble a tortoise, a vulture, giraffes or elephant's ears can be seen.

This is the largest sandy closest beach to the apartment. It has several amenities such as a restaurant, showers (for a small fee), toilets, umbrellas, kayaks and paddle boats for rent. We recommend investing in beach shoes as the red sand can get quite hot! You might find some availabile at the vendors next to the beach.

The Ggantija temples are a must see whilst visiting Gozo. No need to be a historian to appreciate their grandeur!
