Lake Laura
Spend the entire summer day lounging on the grassy beach while the kids swim and play in tranquil Lake Laura! The lake also features a small hiking trail that wraps around the entire lake. You can rent life preservers, canoes, paddleboats and kayaks here. There is a small fee to go to the lake area but the 2 1/2 mile hiking trail is free. The hike around the lake is one of our favorite things to do all year round

The menu features seasonal ingredients and specials, available for lunch, and dinner. Live entertainment performs in the bar throughout the ski season and on selected dates during the spring, summer, and fall.
The Shenandoah Center is the cafeteria at Bryce Resort in the winter. The inside grill offers quick breakfast and lunch options during slope hours. Call to see if they are open in the summer because we have had breakfast there in August and they were open. Beautiful view of the slopes from inside.

Our recommendation for breakfast is Freed's. Very popular homemade biscuits and delicious huge cinnamon rolls. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday and open from 7 am to 2 pm the rest of the week.

Sightseeing
This hike is a moderate 4.4 mile hike with a spectacular view of the surrounding valleys. It is 30 minute drive from the cabin. I recommend taking a lunch and eating at the top. It took us about four hours with about an hour for lunch enjoying the views
