The Sutton Wharf Cafe is around a 20 minute walk away or a 4 minute drive. It has a paid car park and a cafe that offers snacks, hot food and drinks with seating inside or outside by the canal. From there you can walk along the tow paths in whichever direction you desire. You can get to the Bosworth battlefield through the lovely woods or to the Shenton Railway station.

Twycross Zoo is only a 15 minute drive away. It has an array of wild animals to see, a great soft play area for the children that you can visit without having to pay to enter the zoo, if you so wish. Recently opened at the zoo is The Gruffalo Discovery Land. A great family fun-filled day.

Visit the Bosworth Heritage Centre to learn all about the Battle of Bosworth from the year 1485. There is a museum, souvenir shop, cafe and many walks with plaques of information about the battle.
