There are also two large ponds with fountains and swans and ducks.

The beautiful 18th Century house (think Jane Austen) is set in the north part of Hampstead Heath - rolling countryside-like park. The house has a Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Vermeer and beautiful decor. Lovely cafe next door too.

The English National Opera is our more accessible opera house - the operas are all sung in English and you can usually get tickets on the day for £20 (or less if you're happy to sit right up in 'the gods'). Availability is partly because the venue is the biggest seater theatre in the whole of London - so it takes a lot of people to fill it.

If feeling fit and adventurous, you can even climb up to the whispering gallery and then further up to the gold cupola at the top, with amazing views over London. Easy to get to from us on the 4 bus.
