Cycle up or down Cheddar Gorge. Going down is great, going up is not for the faint hearted but really rewarding. Our favourite is to cycle up 'Draycott Steeps' and back down Cheddar Gorge, then along the back road to return to the annex. Or visa versa if you prefer. Beware that Draycott Steep is well known as one of the steepest cycling challenges in England! This takes 1.5 to 2 hours.

The Strawberry line gained its name from the strawberries for sale at Draycott that were sent by train right across the UK. The fields behind our annex which now have sheep in all used to have strawberries growing in only 30 years ago.
