Daylesford is a picturesque spa town set amongst the scenic hills, lakes and forests at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, approximately 115 kilometres north-west of Melbourne.
As one of Australia’s few spa towns, Daylesford is a fabulous year round destination. The town’s numerous mineral spas and wellness retreats, excellent restaurants, cafes and galleries are popular alongside nearby local wineries and well preserved historic villages of the Macedon Ranges region.
The area is also known for its many lovely walks and hiking tracks suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. Lake Daylesford in just a few minutes’ walk south of the town centre, as is Wombat Hill Botanical Garden which offers lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Jubilee Lake, located near Hepburn Springs, is a scenic spot ideal for fishing, boating and swimming.
