Christchurch is to be seen on foot around the surrounding hills. If you have a car make sure you get up on those hills, either a drive up to Victoria Park (lots of walking tracks), the Sign of the Kiwi, Taylors Mistake for a couple of hours walking around the coast towards Godley Head. If you have a couple of days go for a relaxing time in Akaroa, a quaint seaside village.
