The Temple of Minerva Medica is a neo-classical building situated on a hill within a small grove of holm oaks, near the town of Montefoscoli, in the province of Pisa, Italy.
It was erected around 1822 by the wish of , Andrea Vaccà Berlinghieri, physician and luminary of the university of Pisa. His intention was to devote a monument to his father Francesco, also a physician, celebrating their profession with a dedication to the goddess of medicine, Minerva Medica.

The little town of Toiano has gone through a fast depopulation since 1947. The town has no connection to the aqueduct and at the moment only 3 people reside in the place.
Another reason for inhabitants to leave the town was the murder of "Bella Elvira", young woman found dead near a water source in the nearby. The case, that still didn't find the murderer, spread bad thoughts between the inhabitants that began to leave the city.
