Around the lake there are several taverns and cafes where the visitor can rest and enjoy trout and salmon, which are grown in cisterns next to the lake. There is also a playground, benches and tables where you can have a picnic. The walk around the lake is very short and worthwhile, as the shores are drowned in greenery and plane trees.
Finally, from the lake starts the path that leads through the gorge of Agios Nikolaos and ends after 5 km of course in the enchanting prehistory of Rouvas (2:30 hours).
