Lovely diner open for breakfast and lunch within walking distance. My Airbnb guests recommended it to me and, yes, I had to admit ... great place. Worth a trip there if you're staying for even a day. This is definitely one of my husband and mine's favorite restaurants in Denver: It has good service, taste, and portion sizes, in addition to a unique menu. It's also close to the house, which is a great bonus convenience—but we'd travel, at least once in a while, to have breakfast or lunch here!

One of my favorite restaurants, the scent from outside is delicious and the service, food, and decor inside doesn't disappoint. That's if you're into a great BBQ style restaurant with the best BBQ sauces I've ever tasted! Your mileage may vary, but this is only just over a mile from the house, near Walmart and other shops, and recommended if it sounds like your thing. Prices are not bad at all for what you get. They also do takeout.

There is this local library branch within walking distance of the house. So if you want to borrow some books or have a quiet, free getaway place you have this awesome option. It's near restaurants, coffee shops, a pharmacy, a great grocery store, a city park, yoga studio, a gym, and you name it. So you can make this a little, fun circuit and save your time. Now if you want a larger library, there are lots of other nearby branches to choose from too!

If you get a chance to go to Boulder on your trip, check out Chautauqua park and bring some comfortable clothing and shoes for hiking. There are many trails in the park where you can get a lovely view of Boulder and Denver. You'll feel the altitude on these trails, as they all start out pretty steep. Bring water.

It has great hours, a great selection of fresh produce, good food prices generally including carrying the "Kroger" brand, a pharmacy (which I find a little bit expensive, and I usually would recommend Walmart or Target's pharmacy instead for economy), and a DAYTIME, NON-urgent-care health clinic staffed by nurse practitioners which can be a good, economical option if you don't have health insurance or don't want to use your travel insurance for a minor issue and just want to pay out of pocket. (However, they're part of the University of Colorado Hospital medical system and do take most recognized forms of insurance.)
