I especially recommend the Temple Fork/ Sawmill Trail which runs along a river to an old sawmill (6 miles roundtrip, easy hike). For more advanced hikers, check out Jardin Juniper, and see a 1,500 year old Juniper at the top (11 miles roundtrip, moderate difficulty).

Check out the Maple Grove Hot Springs about one hour north in Idaho. These pools overlook a river with a mountain view. Be sure to have a solid vehicle as the last few miles of the drive are on a gravel road. I especially recommend this for an evening with stargazing.
