Toto Ichiba fish market. This traditional market is directly across from the apartment. You can purchase fish, meat, fruit and veg and also eat in the restaurants and cafes. Open BBQ area available.

Good ramen. Kid friendly. My family often goes there. If there is a wait it moves very quickly. They have a large variety of other foods to try with your noodles.

Kawachi Fuji Garden. A sight not to be missed at certain times of year. Perhaps one of the worlds best wisteria tunnels. You can walk from top of Mt Sarakura or catch taxi from JR Yahata Station.
