Our absolute favourite for lunch! The roestis are a specialty, and don't miss the tarte tatin or lemon tart! Also good place to have a hot chocolate late afternoon. Home made ice creams...my daughter's favourite is cinnamon, while my son loves the lemon meringue flavour. Early booking is essential!

When snow is covering the park, book skidoos for the whole family for a magical ride up to the Refuge and come back on sledges. Diner in an old chalet, raclette by the fireplace, but my favourite is the mushrooms plate and the hot red fruit for desert. In the summer, walk up and have a meal outside. Good value.

An another restaurant has a well known chef. Third place for casual snacks, live music in the evening, good spot for a drink, day or evening.

Open in the summer only. Charming traditional village...no electricity...the real thing, candles and oil lamps. Cheese dishes, but not only...I leave it to you to discover. The area is spectacular.

Our favourite supermarket. I also recommend the "Laiterie" next to it (where the cow is!). Great place for homemade yoghurts, milk and butter, cheese for raclette and fondue.

Because Brett is so charming..but now he is married! Best mulled wine in the area. Live music some times. Great place to meet everyone, locals and holiday makers. Not in Gryon as the map shows...in VILLARS, across the main train station

Take the train or walk up to discover this beautiful spot (there is a picture of it among my photos). Friendly restaurant. Suggestion for the summer: take the train, walk the 15mn down from Bretaye and have breakfast there...heavenly romantic! In the winter, the restaurant is open, but not my favourite.
