The pub has become much more busy and vibrant under his stewardship, resulting in the necessity for 3 full time chefs.
The pub has been extensively refurbished and extended during this period to its present state.
The Pub now boasts a 46 seater restaurant, cozy traditional bar, open fire, real ales and high-quality gastropub style food.
Early 2017 the kitchen was fully refurbished to a very high standard.
A recent environmental health visit described the kitchen as first class.

They have a charming cafe with stunning views of the lake. you can take a look at the great activities on offer there, the food is fresh, from local produce and hearty. Def a place to go and visit if you have been out and about in the area and warm good quality, reasonably priced food.

The Castle Hotel has wonderful views over Brecon. Sunday lunch to die for! Def check them out on weekends. May need to book!

you can hire rowing and fishing boats on the lake, they also hire kayaks, Canadian canoes, pedaloes and sailing dinghies. We have launching and mooring facilities for boat owners whether your interests lie in water skiing, sailing or windsurfing. You need to contact the Lakeside Caravan and Camping site direct for details.
The traditional watermill is working again - milling delicious stoneground wholemeal flour. Both the Mill and the Bakers' Table Cafe and Bakery are open around the year, every day except Monday unless it's a Bank Holiday.

John and Clare have an amazing little store located on the High Street in Talgarth. With a great range of fresh and local produce, as well as great selection of local beers, cider and wine. They also sell bread from the local Ashburnam Bakery. You can pick all your news requirements too. They also have a fantastic Lavazza Coffee machine for take-outs! Opposite the butchers in Talgarth. We shop there regularly.
