A buzzing Spanish bakery, just over the cross road opposite the tube station. We always buy the Granier loaf (marked with a "G") – the iced coffee is amazing too (and only £1.50).

Local vegetarian Indian restaurant. This place must have been here forever, it's not romantic fine dining but does have a certain atmosphere. The food is fresh, tasty and cheap and you can bring your own alcohol.

The towpath will take you through the famous Camden Markets, Primrose Hill, London Zoo and Regents Park. It's a great place to sit and relax, walk and explore, swim in the lido or the natural ponds or visit Kenwood House. Climb to the top of Parliament Hill for one of the best views of London. A roast in the Spaniards Inn is recommended if it's cold outside.
This park is situated in trendy Stoke Newington. Always full of young families and picnic-ers on a hot day. There's a big playground for kids, skate park, tennis courts, deer park and paddling pool in the summer.
