Friendly staff and they have a very nice tapas menu. If you go in the afternoon (between say 2pm and 5pm) they have cheaper drinks and specials. This is in Palm Cove and you can walk over, bike or drive.

This is a micro-brewery - don't let the industrial setting put you off, great locally brewed beer that can be enjoyed on site (they sell tasting paddles) or taken away. On Thursday-Sunday they have a food truck outside for snacks.

Groceries and Necessities
Clifton Beach Shopping Centre is a five minute walk away – walk up to the highway, turn right, and you can’t miss it.
There is a large Coles supermarket, official opening hours available from: :https://www.coles.com.au/store-locator/stores/qld/clifton-beach-4581, however generally 8am-9pm weekdays, 8pm-6pm Saturday and 9am-6pm Sunday. There are no single use plastic bags in Queensland, so we have made available reusable shopping bags on the entrance side-table. Please remember to take them when shopping, and remember to leave them behind when you leave.
There is also a Liquorland, Newsagent, Post Office, Hair Dresser, Pharmacy, Butcher, Bakery, Coffee Shop, and Country Target which is a small department store. There is also a walk-in medical centre, and Pizza and Thai restaurants.
The health food store sells freshly brewed Kombucha. There are two reusable bottles in the pantry, please remember to wash these out and leave them behind if you use them.

Wednesday afternoon go sailing (WAGS) is a hidden gem in Cairns. Yacht club members take their yachts on an informal (social) race and anyone is welcome to join for race and a drink and sausage sizzle afterwards. Check https://cairnsyachtclub.com/sailing/wags/ for details and make sure you register first using the instructions on the page. Suitable for adventurous spirits, no experience required but it isn't a tour so you will be expected to look after yourself. Not suitable for children.

Bristling with restaurants, bars, boutique shops, tour companies, and spas, it is a great place to visit and you can get there by walking along the beach, which we highly recommend. If you drive over, parking can be hard to find on the beach front but you can generally find something if you look a few streets back

Palm Cove

If you drive over, parking can be hard to find on the beach front but you can generally find something if you look a few streets back
Iconic tour destination. You can either book a visit by steam train / cablecar (take one up and the other back), or drive up. Lots of shops, attractions, and local arts and crafts. Nice day out.
