Good Eats & Restaurant Recs
Here are some of my favorite places to eat around Greenville! Most are located around ECU campus and Vidant, and others are just a short drive away from our house. There is a little bit of something for everyone!
(Some hours change seasonally so please be sure to double check the hours on Google or Yelp beforehand!)
This is within walking distance from our house! My favorite menu items are the tacos and quesadillas, and I love the pico de gallo from their salsa bar. If you like spicy, try the red sauce! They accept both cash and credit.

The Scullery is my favorite brunch place and they offer Southern dishes. Their hours are shorter in the summer, but I believe they are open until 5 during the school year. They also have homemade ice cream, but I've never tried it because I'm always too full by the time I've finished my meal!

The Scullery Coffee House and Creamery
431 Evans StThe Scullery is my favorite brunch place and they offer Southern dishes. Their hours are shorter in the summer, but I believe they are open until 5 during the school year. They also have homemade ice cream, but I've never tried it because I'm always too full by the time I've finished my meal!

If you love Indian food, check out Cinnamon! You can order individual dishes, but I like eating from the buffet. And definitely try the chai tea - YUM! On the weekends they have a make-your-own mimosa station during brunch hours. *Good place for vegetarians!*

Cinnamon Indian Cuisine
419 Evans StIf you love Indian food, check out Cinnamon! You can order individual dishes, but I like eating from the buffet. And definitely try the chai tea - YUM! On the weekends they have a make-your-own mimosa station during brunch hours. *Good place for vegetarians!*

This is a local favorite - just don't go after church hours on a Sunday. It's PACKED! They serve just simple Southern diner breakfast food and it's very inexpensive.

I find Luna to be on the pricier side per person but their freshly made pizza's are delicious. I come here whenever I'm next door at Pitt Street Brewery for a weeknight event :P The waitstaff is also super friendly and happy to make recommendations. Cannoli's are good, too! *Vegan and vegetarian options available!*

Luna Pizza Cafe
632 S Pitt StI find Luna to be on the pricier side per person but their freshly made pizza's are delicious. I come here whenever I'm next door at Pitt Street Brewery for a weeknight event :P The waitstaff is also super friendly and happy to make recommendations. Dickinson Avenue Public House

This is our favorite taco place in Greenville! It's over the river but still a very short driving distance away. I always get the sopas, but the tacos are good, too! Definitely get some horchata, too :) They always give you a cup of red sauce and green sauce. Green sauce is my favorite so I always ask for an extra cup of that, but if you like spicy, you'll probably like the red sauce!

Cookout is a favorite fast food restaurant of the South that originated right here in North Carolina. It's drive-thru style and they sell burgers, hot dogs, fries, shakes, etc.

Need your daily coffee fix? Looking for a quick bite to eat? Here are some great coffee/snack places around the area!
Blackbeard Coffee is located right in Uptown, so you can visit before or after eating at one of the restaurants in the area. This local coffee joint roasts their beans in house! They also have a small pastry selection from Great Harvest Bread Co. If you're looking for a place to work, they have a couple of indoor seating and tables, but I'd avoid doing work there during peak hours. They're closed on Sundays but open 7am-10pm the rest of the week.

Some people just really love their Starbucks! The closest one to our house is on 10th Street, but I like this one a little bit better. It has a drive-thru, indoor and outdoor seating, and the barista's are just a little bit friendlier.

They also serve Blackbeards coffee!
