Getting around
This is the main gateway to Kampala and the rest of Uganda.
The airport is located near the town of Entebbe which is situated on the shores of Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa. Entebbe airport is located 35 kms from Kampala. This is where you will arrive.
Here you will find a range of passenger services like commuter taxi service to Kampala and outlets of car rental agencies.

Food scene
Uganda's has been blessed with natural and healthy local food. We eat a starch-heavy diet of matoko, posho, rice and potatoes with meat and vegetables. Stews and pleasant sauces, sometimes spicy, flavour dishes. Decent Indian food is available in most towns and can be a welcome alternative.
One uniquely Ugandan food is the rolex, a chapati rolled around an omelette. Grasshoppers are very popular during April and November and are sold by many street vendors.
This cafe offers an ambience of relaxation and peace with great music and meals. This is a cafe hidden away in Kololo with calming greenery that is stocked with books for those who love to read and those who love coffee.

Nice place to unwine and catch up with friends after a hard day's work. They serve very delicious and mouth watering pork ribs which often is prepared in small quantities and they tend to run out. Its better to call and book early!

Teriyaki, donburi, Katsu. It gets better with the new outlet Yat ILab at the Kurb where you can get burrito sushi right there in the midst of other amenities. You should try the sushi platters.... to die for.....

Ugandans love their "booze". Uganda Breweries and Nile Breweries are the two main local brewers, and they produce some drinkable lagers such as Nile, Club and Bell.
Uganda Waragi is local favourite which is similar to gin and goes down well with a splash of tonic. There are other varieties of imported alcoholic drinks(spirits & wines) that are relatively cheaper depending on your wallet and thirst
