On the first fridays of each month there is a small street fair with music, art and food.
We are known for coffee in this area and in Nov. there is a coffee festival, and also at Christmas time, there is a parade, festival and lighting of the village shops.
Hours and days open are limited, except for the mart and PO are open more.

Neighborhoods
From where our cottage is located, just north of Holualoa town, you have great access to anywhere on the island. You are only 15 minutes from "downtown" Kailua-Kona, and it is super easy to head north to Waimea, or across the island via the saddle road to the East side.
PLUS we are at an elevation of 1400 which makes it cooler with an awesome view of the coastline!

This ocean here is protected and easy to enter, and a convenient beach to snorkel, reef explore, bodyboard, etc. There is also an historical little Hawaiian church on the rocks, and you can even take surf lessons in the bay next to it.
Plus you often see turtles swimming or sunning on the beach.
