Here are some places to eat around the villa!
In addition to the suggestions below, I recommend the food court in the LOCAL FRESH MARKET (ตลาดสด เทศบาลเทพกระษัตรี), where you can find a variety of Thai breakfast dishes! It's a real local experience, as everyone in the area goes shopping for the freshest produce there in the morning.
There are also plenty of LOCAL RESTAURANTS within walking distance from the villas, just walk out and cross the bridge onto the main road and turn left onto Don Jom Tao Road. Restaurants serving dishes such as Pad Thai, Noodle Soups, Chicken Rice and many more. Here are two of my favourites (unfortunately, the names are in Thai, but you can copy and paste them into Google Maps): ครัวพฤกษา and ร้านนายต่อ อร่อยบอกต่อ. You can ask our cohosts at the villa or drop me a message for additional directions or recommendations!
Fresh seafood with an air-conditioned seating area. We eat here every time we're in Thalang. Try their tamarin prawns, soft shell crab, crayfish stirfried with garlic, steamed fish, or seafood soups. They have an extensive menu with authentic flavours of southern Thailand, and very reasonably priced, too.
Parknam Seafood Talang

Things to do in Northern Phuket
Who says all of Phuket's tourist attractions are located in the south of the island? Here's a few of my favourite places to visit and things to do and see near our villas!
Unlike the majority of Phuket’s west coast beaches, it is still a very tranquil area, where you can lie and relax under the shade of the tall pine trees bordering the beach. There are streetfood stalls and a beach club. You can even go canoeing or walk to a nearby island during low tides.

A favourite amongst locals and tourists, Surin Beach is a beautiful stretch of white sand. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

One of Phuket's oldest temples, whose name translates to 'Temple of the protruding Buddha'. The main attraction is the half-buried golden Buddha image which cannot be dug up no matter how many villagers tried.
The temple also houses an interesting museum, founded by the current abbot. The museum features historical items donated by locals such as tin mining paraphernalia, a Chinese dowry basket, Chinese 'teen-tuk' (feet reducing) shoes, food carriers, cannons and Javanese daggers.

Pristine, tranquil beach perfect for avoiding the crowds. The roads leading to Nai Thon Beach run through a lush green valley. This is truly a hidden gem. However, the roads can be winding, so please take care while driving.

You can see airplanes after airplanes flying over this beach due to its proximity with the airport. The sand is coarse by Phuket standards, but it's very peaceful.
