Golden Ponds Park is conveniently located just 4 miles North-East of us. It's a great place to walk, fish, bird watch, and just enjoy nature. There are all kinds of waterfalls and beavers that we have spotted several times.

Rabbit Mountain Open Space offers a great short but sweet hike/bike trail! With great views of the Flatirons to the Southwest and on the other end of the trail great views of the plains.

This is beautiful campground. The sites are generously sized with a covered picnic table at each one. It is a quiet, serene landscape. Trails meander through various ponds, all easy flat terrain. Fishing, biking, walking, bird watching. Only downside is that you can hear the interstate off in the distance.

One of the nicest casual walks through a myriad of ponds with big cottonwoods, level paths (wheelchair friendly), tons of waterfowl, eagles, and in the spring blue herons nest in the back area along the St Vrain. Plenty of toilet facilities on both sides of 75th. No need to have to dodge cyclists as it's a no bicycle park

This is a classic Boulder lunch or post-work ride. If you're a beginner looking to gain some more technical experience or a skilled MTB veteran, this ride has something for you. Due to the Mesa's elevation and lack of trees, this ride is extremely sun-exposed, bring water! Additionally, this is a very popular trail system. Prepare for encounters with runners, hikers, and other riders. https://www.hikingproject.com/trail/7017569/marshall-mesa-to-spring-brook-loop

Starting with Nighthawk Trail and hiking clockwise, you'll start off on a wide, maintained trail and move along to singletrack with various rocks and roots. The first 4.5 miles will be almost exclusively uphill. There are trees scattered around the trail that provide some shade to catch your breath and enjoy the view before soldiering on. Once your reach Nelson Loop, you may go either left or right to connect to Bitterbrush Trail. This route goes to the left. Expect to see cyclists at this point. You'll hit some great downhill singletrack before meeting up with a rocky section. About 7.5 miles in you'll reach the split - left goes to Antelope Trail but stay to the right to keep on Bitterbrush Trail. You'll have 2.5 miles of trail to reach the main trailhead and many technical rocky sections.

This is a multi-use trail, so expect bikers, equestrians and folks with off-leash dogs. The trails in Boulder Valley Ranch don't have much elevation gain and are much more mellow than other trails in Boulder County's foothills. Eagle Trail runs east and west more or less between US36 and N. 55th Street. The Eagle Trail can be traveled in either direction and a great variety of loops can be formed by using combinations of trails in the Boulder Valley Ranch area. Starting out at Eagle trailhead on N. 55th Street, head west through the gate. The wide dirt road through pastureland is flat here with good views of the foothills and Indian Peaks. In 1/2 mile, turn left at the intersection and hike down a hill that twists south. Pass the dammed pond and begin the mile long, gentle climb through fields of tall grass. After some westward travel through an area with scattered cottonwoods next to an old farmer's irrigation ditch, you'll come to the intersection of the Eagle Trail and the Sage Trail. To stay on the Eagle Trail, stay left (south) and ascend a short, steep path to the top of the mesa. This is the hardest part of the trail and the rocky surface is sometimes eroded. It is soon over though and views from the top of the mesa are great. On top of the mesa, you arrive at a rain shelter at the junction of Eagle Trail and the Mesa Reservoir Trail. To remain on the Eagle Trail, stay right and hike along the northern side of the Mesa Reservoir. Pass the Degge Trail intersection on the left and continue to follow the ridge west. After a few more gates and the intersection with the Old Mill Trail, you come to a trailhead and end of a dirt road. The remainder of the Eagle Trail for bikers is on this dirt road, for foot traffic, the Eagle Trail parallels the dirt road just to it's south. Both parts of the Eagle Trail end at the parking area off Broadway Street.
