Guided tours - weekdays
The Friends of the Botanic Gardens conduct guided tours of Flecker Gardens starting 10am Monday to Friday, most weeks of the year.
Tours generally take 60-90 minutes and showcase key areas of the Gardens including the Conservatory and Aboriginal Plant Use section. These tours are designed for casual visitors to the Gardens.
To join a tour, simply meet up with the guide outside Friends House in the Flecker Garden (not the Visitor Centre). No bookings required.
Bird watching walking tour - Tuesdays
Available every Tuesday commencing at 8.30am. Meet at Friends House in the Flecker Garden (not the Visitor Centre). The walk takes approximately two hours. We recommend you bring binoculars and wear sensible walking shoes.
Gardens and Tanks precinct heritage tour - Thursdays
Heritage tours of the Tanks Art Centre and Botanic Gardens precinct are held on Thursday mornings from 10am. Meet at the Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre.
Bookings can be taken for small or larger groups on another week day – contact the Visitor Centre.

The track mostly in the forest and you will need 1 1/2 hours to get up to the top! Our recommdation is to bring some suitable shoes and plenty of water.

Muddy‘s at the Esplanade and the Treehouse at the Warft are amazing playgrounds. Both have coffee shops nearby! The indoor playground at Stocklands Shopping Center or a visit to the Aquarium are great solutions :)
