This is a quiet place to look at the ocean. There are, depending on the season, strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries on this trail. Start at Point St and turn left to walk across the water!

If you need a scene change, take a 25 minute drive down the windy road to the next town over. They have a historic waterfront with a museum, sorry shop, and cafe. There is a secondhand bookstore, A Guy Frenchs store(second hand clothing and books) and a few restaurants. They have a Sobeys grocery store, Home Hardware, Tim Hortons and a wonderful garden centre. There is a small provincial park and some walking trails.

Buy your water and all of your essentials here! They are open from 7 or 8 am until 9 pm every night. Try their Fair Trade coffee and Montreal bagels. They also have locally baked goods and really cheap freezies. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Take the boardwalk from next to the elementary school at the bottom of Howe Street(our street.)
They have free wifi, showers(when available), bathrooms, tourist information and this is a spot to learn more about the local history. Go upstairs and get a better view of the beach.

Crescent Beach Centre

There is a very quiet beach with little surf across from Cranberry island. Walk or drive to the end of South street and park on the road or near the marina/wharf. Walk down a skinny path and you will find the beach.
Freddy's Beach is another spot not on the map. It is across from the corner of John and South. It is a small white beach perfect for small kids - very quiet.
