The Blue Ridge Parkway offers a serene drive with beautiful overlooks of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Going south from Rt 8 leads to Mabry's Mill and Meadows of Dan. North will take you to Roanoke, Peaks of Otter, and eventually Skyline Drive.
