This place is a little bit out of the way but if any place is worth the drive, this is. It combines some of the best Tex-Max you will ever have with some of the best BBQ you will ever have. Go for their breakfast tacos and leave time for the line. Once 11 am hits, breakfast is over no matter where you are in line.

Definitely not fancy but Magnolia Cafe has been serving amazing pancakes and other grub in Austin LONG before Austin was the place to eat. I love their gingerbread pancakes (with bananas and pecans).

Sightseeing
Down the hill from our home is an Austin gem. Pease Park is great for kids and adults alike. An oasis in the middle of a big city for sure.

Groceries
This is the closest place to get groceries. It is a full grocery, but it is more pricey than HEB. But it is great if you forgot something and better yet, you can walk there from our home.

Uber/Lyft and local favorite Ride Austin are all easy to catch from our house.
Taxi service is less reliable. All very economical since we live so close to Austin's main attractions. Public transport consists of buses. Go to Capmetro website if interested in bus routes.
