The bridge, also called Bridge No. 9,[1] crosses Putrajaya Lake, an artificial lake made to provide natural cooling, and connects Precinct 2 on the Core Island, where the main government buildings are located, to the residential area of Precinct 8, 9.[2]

It is Malaysia's first themed shopping and entertainment mall in an Egyptian design with a lion sculpture, Pharaoh statues and two domes, known as the Orange and blue Atrium both represent Sun God Ra and Great Nile river respectively form part of the building structure. The mall consists of several shopping precincts, which are Fashion Central, Oasis Boulevard, Asian Avenue and Marrakesh and comprises over 900 outlets, ranging from fashion, accessories, shoes, jewellery, timepieces, music, videos, gifts, souvenirs, leathers, books, pharmacies, electrical products, home furnishing, wellness to one-stop IT centre. Since its opening in 1997, Sunway Pyramid had undergone two expansions, in 2007 and again in 2015, increased the total area of the building to 396,000 m2 (4,260,000 sq ft)

IOI Mall Puchong was founded in 1998. It was built to serve the residents of Puchong which numbers were small back then. The Old Wing of the mall was managed by Jusco, a subsidiary of ÆON, before it was renamed ÆON in March 2012. A new wing expansion opened in 2009.

Putrajaya Wetlands consists of 24 wetland cells, Wetlands Park (Taman Wetland) and the other Wetlands areas. The Wetland now is also a wildlife sanctuary which attracts a huge variety of animals to the combined terrestrial-aquatic wetland environment.[1]
