The Eye Film Museum is a very spacious room with large glass windows and has the best view of the Ij River where you can watch the many kinds of boats floating by, sit and have a drink, coffee, snack or an entire meal. The dinner menu is a bit high, but a normal price for snacks and cakes. There is a special film museum with changing exhibits as well as four large cinemas.

The MADAM restaurant at the top of the Amsterdam Tower opens at 21.30 pm for people to come inside and have drinks to enjoy the view of Amsterdam from up high. If you want to have dinner there you can get inside at 6 pm but you must reserve way in advance and it is moderately expensive for Amsterdam. I recommend going there in the evening for a quiet drink while walking around the perimeter to see Amsterdam from high up.

This round restaurant has very good atmosphere, moderately expensive meals but also great for a drink and snack. Sitting around the fire place in the middle is great in cold weather.
