About 40km road up the Chilliwack River Valley with some nice spots mainly for outdoor activities: Chilliwack Lake and Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park, Lindeman Lake Hike, Fish Hatchery, River Rafting and Whitewater Kayaking, Waterfalls, Fishing, Caves and more. You can spend an hour or the entire day exploring.

Chilliwack Lake
If you are looking for a less crowded alternative to Cultus Lake, check out Chilliwack Lake. It's approximately a 30-40 min drive up the valley on Chilliwack Lake Rd (south-east). As you enter Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park direction signs will guide you to the beach and boat launch. Your trip will be rewarded with a beautiful scenery.
If you enjoy hiking, consider the Lindeman Lake hike on your way back.

Lindeman Lake Hike
The parking lot (and trail head) is located on the left side along Chilliwack Lake Rd (coming from Chilliwack) only about a kilometer before the Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park entrance. It's an intermediate hike and takes about 2 hrs. Once you arrive at the lake you will realize that you effort was well worth it.
Note: Don't leave any valuable items in your vehicle in the parking lot as there have been break-ins.

Chilliwack River Hatchery
The hatchery is worth a visit, especially in late summer and fall when the different salmon species return. It's about a 20-25 min drive from Sardis; the parking lot is located on the left side right after you pass the Slesse Creek bridge. Check the opening hours on the DFO website.
