HopCat is great for lunch, dinner or a night on the town. It is located right in the heart of downtown and is walking distance to several other bars and restaurants. We've brought our kids as well so during the day it is very family friendly!

Dressing up for an event Downtown? Wheelhouse is a great spot. I used to work for the company that owns this restaurant so I'm a little biased, but the food is amazing and it's complemented with a fun atmosphere! They also have a pretty good happy hour and are super close to VanAndel Arena and the new Movie Theater Downtown!

I used to work for the company that owns this restaurant so I'm a little biased, but the food is amazing and it's complemented with a fun atmosphere! They also have a pretty good happy hour and are super close to VanAndel Arena and the new Movie Theater Downtown!
The happy hour is great, the food is ALWAYS amazing and it's an awesome atmosphere. What's not to love?

If you like Cider, you MUST visit Vandermill. This is also an awesome place for kids in the summer because they have outdoor seating and there is a grassy area where you kids can roam. Love their food and cider!

Close to the house and also delicious, we love this place. It has a really cool place to sit outside but also a really homey atmosphere inside. Heck, I'd bring my kid too for lunch or dinner.

Eastown is a local favorite for restaurants, shops and bars. Check out the famous Yesterdog for a hot dog or go classy with Terra GR. I love having breakfast at either Wolfgangs or the Early Bird. It's a great place to walk but watch your stop on those brick paved roads!

Gaslight is adorable. Great shopping, restaurants, there is a Starbucks, beautiful walk to Reeds lake with a park. There is an awesome walking path, you can ride bikes, etc. Our kids go to school in East Grand Rapids and we love the area.

Stella's is great for burgers- even their vegan burgers and "chicken wings" are amazing. It's a "funky" atmosphere with arcade games, red leather chairs and a long bar. Definitely a local favorite!
