Our Family Favorites
This is my favorite restaurant in town— partially because I don’t eat beef, and at Bulldog Burger, I can sub a turkey patty for any burger on the menu. They also have a super veggie burger made in-house with 21 veggies! The chicken and salads are great too! And you should definitely consider a Nutella Milkshake or Shipley’s Donut Bread Pudding for dessert!

The closest restaurant to our home. My favorite is the green curry. Classic Pad Thai is great. Good sushi. My kids love to get a bubble tea.

A family favorite for us! We like to sit at a round table and eat family style meals. Our favorite dish is the steamed fish with black bean sauce. They have hot pot tables. You can also pick out seafood in the market and have them cook it.

There’s so much great Bar-B-Q in the area, it deserves its own category.
Favorite hole-in-the-wall! Southern BBQ, ribs, soul food— it’s all good. Finish off with some scratch-made cake. Less than a mile from the house, with sidewalks all the way.

Classic Southern BBQ. I order the chicken plate with white sauce and ask them to pull the chicken off the bone. They also have fish and shrimp. $2 kid meals with each adult purchase. If you get a Bushwacker, your kids will be jealous when they see your ice cream!

Ask you server for specialty drink recommendations. If you are hungry, you can also order food or dessert from upstairs. If you go during the Christmas season, you are in for a special treat-- just be prepared for a long wait!

I like the lattes; my kids like the Butterbeer and ‘’kids-temp hot chocolate.’ We all like the oatmeal cream pie cookies!

When in season, this park is bursting with beautiful blooms! Great place to let the kids run around. Mine enjoy playing hide and seek around the roses. Many take graduation or engagement photos here.
