Within the area we have Taronga Zoo and several beaches.
Locally there are some shops where you can buy food - the friendly grocer, a butcher, fruit and vegetables, alcohol, a delicatessen, a providore and lovely cafes.
Also in the Avenue Road shops is a newsagent, drycleaners and BP petrol station

Food scene
Mosman Rowers is at the bottom of the hill. They do great breakfasts as well as other meals. You can sit on the deck over the water and enjoy a leisurely meal.

Sightseeing
If you enjoy scenic walks you can walk to Cremorne Point. Just walk down to Mosman Bay and follow the foreshore along. It will take around 35 minutes to get to Cremorne Point which is a stunning place to visit.

If you enjoy scenic walks you can walk to Cremorne Point. Just walk down to Mosman Bay and follow the foreshore along. It will take around 35 minutes to get to Cremorne Point which is a stunning place to visit.
Another beautiful walk that will take you around 45-50 minutes to get to. Walk towards Sirius Cove and follow the foreshore to Bradleys Head.
If you like longer walks keep going until you reach Chowder Bay.
Longer still is up the hill to Georges Heights where you can visit the national parkland that looks out towards Manly, Watsons Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
A little longer is over from Georges Heights to Balmoral Beach. An absolutely stunning local beach which is clean and safe for swimming. There are cafes and restaurants.
You can get the bus back up the hill towards home from there.

Buses and Ferries
Walk to the bottom of the hill to access ferries and buses.
Ferries go to the city, Cremorne Point and Taronga Zoo.

Taronga Zoo
If you have a car it takes about five minutes to get to Taronga Zoo.
If you are walking there is a beautiful walk over the hill, down through Sirius Cove and around the foreshore to the Zoo - that will take you about 40 minutes.
By ferry check the timetable and hop on the ferry from Mosman Bay. Its one stop. Check the timetable as on weekends the ferry may not come through Mosman Bay to the Zoo. The alternative is to grab a bus from Mosman Bay to Mosman Village and connect with another bus.
