They do important work to rescue and rehabilitate injured and sick marine mammals. No tours but you can view the animals and if you hit it right see them when they are being fed. A small gift shop helps support the cause.

A little bit of a drive and down 8 miles of gravel road but the place is absolutely enchanting. Fern Canyon is only part of the destination. Spectacular wild beaches with miles and miles of exploring and hiking make for a real nice outdoor adventure day trip.

A nice little hike on an old abandoned gravel road grade to a beautiful secluded beach. Fantastic views along the hike. Try and time it around low tide for optimal beach and tidal exploring.

Take the road less traveled (dirt) through the Redwoods. Stunning up close and personal drive through the giant Redwoods with ability to pull off often and access many secret trails. Road can close occasionally due to deteriorating conditions in extreme weather but they always sign it when that happens.

Great craft beer and equally good food with a large variety of options and emphasis on local ingredients. Best pizza in town too (brick oven wood fired). Family friendly with a nice atmosphere to suit everyone. They brew Kombucha and Root Beer as well.
