Awesome 1 room theater in downtown next to other local shops. Be sure to check out what is playing. Current films back to classics play at this theater along with real food and drinks that can be eaten in the theater. These folks are truly trying to create community with this business. It’s always positive and a great time! (Also movies are cheaper!)

Albany Carousel
Albany carousel is a community project over 15yrs in the making. It is easily the best thing to do with kids in Albany. $2/ride. Open everyday 11-5pm.

Poor public transport
There isn’t much for getting around. However getting to and from is easy with I-5 coming close by along with Amtrak and bolt buses.

Art and air festival every august.
This is the greatest event Albany offers (in our opinion). Make sure to go to at least one balloon launch early in the morning. You will not regret it! Around 40 balloons filling and launching and the best is you can walk amongst it all!

Around the area
From the oceans to the mountains, everything is within 1.5hrs from us. Silver falls is an amazing location to hike and enjoy up to 10 waterfalls about 50mins from us. McDowell creek falls is another 3 falls about 45 mins from us. If traveling south down I-5 make sure to check out the wildlife safari in Winston, Or. the gorge near Portland is amazing hiking and views. Portland is 1.5 hrs from us and Eugene is 45mins.
