Is nestled in the Brindabella Ranges and has a good man made short ski and toboggan slope. It has of course much natural snow fall too. So if you want snow play but don't have time to head to the Kosciusko National Park and the ski fields, this is not a bad cheap/small alternative. Don't go though thinking you will have long, winding ski runs. Very short, fast.

Cafes along the waters edge as well as many a park bench to sit and watch the city go by (normally dog walking, jogging or cycling). Or take one of the boats on offer as part of the Lake Cruises

It also showcases the year’s best political cartoons, "Behind the Lines" which are a great look back on the year that was with the tongue firmly in the cheek. This is a thoroughly recommended visit, and takes about 2 hours!!
