Cwmdonkin Park is situated opposite our home. This park is beautiful! It has three full sized tennis courts, a children’s play ground, a little hut that’s serves teas, coffees, cakes, ice-cream etc. and which has space for sitting outside or under a shelter if it begins to drizzle! Events are held there regularly during peak times such as Easter, during the summer, Halloween and Easter; these events tend to be directed to towards children and are generally all free. Uplands is also the local park to Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas. Dylan’s birthplace is situated next to the park and is a museum (though opening times vary and you would need to check ahead). It’s the perfect park for a stroll, play or run.
