Cowboy’s has some great steaks, salad bar and a casual enjoyable atmosphere. They offer BBQ and they’ve won some competitions but daily BBQ isn’t their speciality. I go for the steaks. Last year for Valentine’s Day they had a prime rib and lobster special that I still dream about. They have some great daily specials as well and a big bar and a friendly staff. What started as a small lodge style restaurant with 4 tables has transformed into a legitimate seafood destination. Their fresh seafood counter is stocked with fresh fish and seafood and their menu includes unique fare such as cooter (turtle), frog legs, and alligator. They’re Sunday all you can eat buffet makes the world a better place. It’s pricey for the typical Okeechobee client but it’s worth it.

Bring your own or rent a gun. Maybe an AK47 automatic machine gun? Target pistol range. Riffle range. Actually 3 separate ranges cover just about anything you could ask for in a shooting range. Entirely outdoors. I go often and if you are into guns and visiting Okeechobee, I suggest you go too
