If you're looking for a classic pub with good beer and pub grub, Nail Creek over in Utica is a great choice. They also have some nice outdoor seating for the summer months.

Farther afield (a 25 minute country drive to the town of Hamilton) but if you're planning a visit to Colgate University during your trip we highly recommend this local restaurant with fresh ingredients and excellent drinks.
