We recommend a trip to the little historic village El Acebuchal. You can walk or drive there from Frigiliana. It´s 7,5 km.

A short walk in the campo brings you to this nice restaurant. About 15 min. It has stunning views. The food is really good.

The best thing about this restaurant is the fact that it is situated in the lovely church square. It is lovely sitting outside. The food is okay but not the main attraction.

We recommend eating fresh fish on the beach. They grill your fish on the wood fireplace. It is really good food and you are sitting right on the beach.
Drive down towards Nerja, turn right along the N340 and drive along the sea, direction Malaga. Continue to TORROX (if you reach a roundabout within Torrox you have gone to far) In Torrox you have to look out for a small sign on your left hand by a dirt road. It is squized in between some white buildings with very blue windows and some red buildings. On the sign it says :”CHIRINGUETO – RINCON DE PEPE” at the end of the small dirt road you park.

Going down to the coast from Frigiliana, 10-15 min. you reach Nerja. Take a walk to Balcon de Europa. Lovely view from here.

You can find many beaches in Nerja. But we also recommend driving a little east of Nerja. Here you find many lovely and more paeceful beaches. And the coastal drive has breathtaking views. We love this beach. You park up by the road and walk down.

There are two playgrounds in the village.
One is placed by the bus/ taxi stop. Just across from the pharmacy. This is mostly for the youngest.
The other one is placed in the new part of the village along Calle Sebastian. This is a playground for the youngest. And also has a part for skateboarding.
