Located near the Fort Ponta da Bandeira and close to the historical centre, this beach is sheltered from the prevailing winds. It offers various leisure facilities, supervision and a very easy access. The Batata beach also hosts the traditional beach party on the night of 29th of August, where there is the tradition of having the famous midnight dip in the sea.
